Phump..........Thats the sound of my jaw hitting the floor.
Pfizt... thats the sound of me tearing my hair out.....
Are you real or are you a mythical person yourself???
Surley you have heard of U2 , Bono or the Edge, where did you think they came from.
If your atlas says middle earth i suggest you buy a more upto date version of earth.
Speaking of mythical.
Ulster scots is a mythical (i.e. the concept thats its a language) entity. Its just badly spoken badly wrote English. No entemologist would take it serious as a language. If you consider that the ionian islands of scotland are between ulster and scotland and they speek Scots gaelic.

Yes Ireland is a real country and Irish is a real language which a lot of people mistakenly call Gaelic. Click on the link below and you will see a satellite picture of Ireland, use the zoom out and you will see exactly where it is in relation to the rest of the world. |

It is real, as it's where leprechauns (like myself) come from, although it exists in a dimension different to our own. That's why you won't see it on any one of your 'standard' maps. |

Ireland (Irish: Éire; Ulster Scots: Airlann) is the third largest island in Europe[1] and the twentieth largest in the world.[2] It lies to the northwest of Continental Europe. It is surrounded by hundreds of islands and islets. To the east of Ireland, separated by the Irish Sea, is the island of Great Britain. Politically, the Republic of Ireland (also known simply as Ireland) covers five sixths of the island, with Northern Ireland, part of the United Kingdom, covering the remainder in the northeast. The name 'Ireland' derives from Old Irish Ériu (in modern Irish, Éire) with the addition of the Germanic word 'land'. This word, from Proto-Celtic *Īwerjū, which also gave Middle Welsh Iwerd "Irish Sea", originally meant "fatness", in the sense of fertile.[3]
The population of the island is slightly under six million (2006), with 4,239,848 in the Republic of Ireland[4] (1.7 million in Greater Dublin[5]) and about 1.7 million in Northern Ireland[6] (0.6 million in Greater Belfast).[7] |

Yes, it's very much a real country. Ireland is a small country off the northwestern coast of Europe. When you look at the British Isles, you will see two different political entities... The UK and Ireland.
I can see why this question was asked, many people here (Here refers to a country other than Ireland) think I'm British when I say I'm Irish. I have to explain that Ireland is NOT part of the UK. Maybe your atlas did not explain clearly that Ireland is separate from the UK (apart from Northern Ireland)
Yes, there are a lot of myths and legends to do with Ireland, but Ireland is far from unique in this regard. Each country has its own myths and legends.
Cheers. |
