Yes it is. From both a geographical and socio-political-cultural prospective. In tradition, Ireland flows with the European tradition, and its institutions etc. are reflective of that. Geographically, while though an Island, Ireland sits on the European continental shelf, and is therefore apart of the continent of Europe.
Whether Europe should be considered a separate continent from Asia is another question. |
