Really? I'm not trying to be mean, but you really don't know that? Of course not! Scotland is above England and Ireland is the island to the right of England and Scotland. Wow, I can't believe the education system today.

No harm in not knowing. At least he admits to not knowing but it would have been easier on his and everyone's part to type in SCOTLAND on google or wikipedia. Or got a map...

Lucy L
no, scotland is right at the top of the UK

Penny J
No it is to the north of England. Where as Ireland is off the West Coast of England just past the Isle of Man. You need to get an atlas too.

No Scotland is a country incorporated into the United Kingdom, but Ireland is a separate republic.

No - Scotland is the Northern area of the island that also contains England.

Ireland is on a separate island, to the west of that one.

Paul W
No, Scotland is on the northern part of the island that it shares with England. Ireland is immediatly to the east on a seperate island.
Do a search for "map of Britain" images and this should be made more clear for you.

E D
Obviously you have no idea!

Ireland is on an entirely different island than Scotland!

England and Scotland share an island, Scotland being north of England.

However, Ireland is an island to the west of England and Scotland.

JM
no they are separate countries

No!! lol

Scotland is at the far north of Great Britain, which includes England, Scotland and Wales.

Ireland is a separate island to the west of Great Britain, including Northern Ireland and Eire. Northern Ireland is a part of the United Kingdom, along with Great Britain.

How could Scotland be in Ireland when it's a part of the UK and Ireland is an ISLAND about 200 miles off the coast of the U.K.

Lol. Er...no. Scotland is part of the island of Great Britain.

A ferry connects the two islands - you can go from Larne in Northern Ireland to Cairryan in Scotland by FastFerry - this takes approx 1 hour. Scotland is approx 23 miles (not 500) from Irish land mass.
