Live close to it, so with me the case is; because I see it all the time its just normal, think nothing of it. But yeh night life it quite good, loads of bars and restaurants, a couple of really big shopping centers, a big cinema. So actually come to think of it, its pretty good.

Alan M: It's officially the city of Derry in the county of Londonderry - this was compromise reached by locals (from all backgrounds).

Stopped in Derry for lunch on my way to Donegal from Belfast. That's all I saw of it unfortunately , but it looked nice what bit I did see. Hope to visit again one day.

I found it's archetecture and history interesting. The shopping was maybe just a wee bit better than parts of the republic. I found the people to be generally less friendly. (maybe just the ones I encountered?)

Alan's on the right path, but slightly incorrect.
The proper name is Doire.
