It is.. but you can get the same quality from some of the other Irish crystal factories (which were set up by ex-waterford crystal workers). Galway, and I think Killarney crystal are just as good.

Its not cheap but neither is it prohibitive. Have a look at the John Lewis website, that'll give you an idea.

Some Waterford crystal can be very expensive,but you can also get a few things that are aren't to pricey.
