Is anyone aware of a good website for researching property in Ireland?

Ideally, price and location in the Republic of Ireland, ie to get an idea what you can get for your money. Most of the website's I found were not very helpful. Many thanks!

what do you mean, to buy or to rent. To rent try www.daft.ie probably the best. To buy take my advice dont even consider it, property prices are on the verge of a serious market correction right now.

yes, myhome.ie. but if you could you would be better off coming over and driving around, and looking yourself. Theres also a free adds paper called Buy and Sell which also has a property section and are cheaper as the people cut out the middle man, they also have a website. buyandsell.ie............property here is the most expensive in Europe, an average house in Dublin is 350,000euros, and that's usually for a very basic one, in the country side they are a bit cheaper, but to be honest, they are not worth the money.........if you are looking for a great investment, Portugal is the place to buy, I adore Ireland, I wouldn't live anywhere else, but as I said the houses are not worth the money and if you can hold out for a couple of years, the market is expected to come down hughly in price.......might be worth waiting for.

Many different estate agents are online - but there are only a few that are nation wide, and they tend to be EXTREMELY expensive.

If you trawl through county by county, you should be able to get a fairly good picture of the overall prices - but make sure you're sitting down with a stiff drink before you look - the property prices are scary here at the moment, with no improvements forecast any time soon!

give us some idea of were you want to live and the sort of property you are looking for and i might be able to help you. if you mention you budget i should be able to point you towards a county that you can afford to buy in.
