Is it legal to bring a pellet gun in your luggage into Ireland?

as in a hand drawn back one not one with a gas cylinder, not in the hand luggage of course. eg from france because they sell them there but not in Ireland?

Phone the airline in question. People do go abroad on hunting trips/competitions, so it can be done.

However, they don't sell pellet guns in Ireland because they're not legal. You'd certainly have to be fully licenced to bring any sort of firearm on an aircraft.

You can't take any kind of gun in your checked baggage or carry on in any airline.

With the way things are today. I dont think it would be a good idea to take that with you anywhere.

You can transport any fire arms including the pellet gun in a locked bag or case, the air lines will check to make sure it's not loaded and place a tag of inspection inside the bag and ask you to lock it. If it is a pistol or rifle you need a letter from a chief of police or sherriff in your county, stating that you have no criminal history and are a citizen in good standing
