Do you mean clothes shopping or just in general? I'd have to say YES for both! Although the city centre has slowed down a bit due to the amazing retail parks that have opened on the University of Limerick side in the last few years.
The town is still great for high street stores such as River Island, Top Shop, No Name, Next, Sasha's, A-Wear...the list goes on. The city is big: Cruises St, O'Connell St, William St and Thomas St being the main shopping streets!
The retail parks are also fantastic:

1. The Parkway Retail Park has T-K Maxx and Elverys for sport wear.
2. The Childers Road Retail Park has Dunnes, Heatons, River Island, Dotherty Perkins, KFC for a bite to eat...I could go on!
3. Plus you have the Parkway Shopping Centre that is quite smaller but has Dunnes,Sasha, Gamestop etc.
(the amazing thing about these 3 places is that they are only within 5-10 minutes walking distance of each other!!)

Just want to spend a whole day in a massive shopping centre withour worrying about the weather? Go to the Cresent Shopping Centre in Dooradoyle, just outside the city too. Boots, Argos, Monsoon, Jean Scene...etc etc. I could go on about it all day!

bridget b

Yes, Limerick is good for shopping. On O'Connell Street, you have Debenhams, Brown Thomas, Penneys, Eason's. On William Street, there's Sasha & a couple of other stores. On Cruises Street there's River Island, Dorothy Perkins, Monsoon. There are several branches of Dunnes Stores around the city. There's also a number of shopping centres on the outskirts of the city including the Crescent Shopping Centre & the Park Way.

MUSICGUY
it's known more for stabbings rather than shopping
