Sshhhh! It's Podge and Rodge

No it's not. The gardai have been recently issued with pepper spray but the general public aren't allowed to use it.

I'm afraid not.

Due to the threat of terrorism Ireland's laws on weapons are strict - in fact any weapons apart from shotguns and hunting rifles are illegal.

This includes many items traditionally used for non-lethal self-defense. Tazers, stun guns, pepper spray and similar instruments are banned. If you possess or even use them you might find yourself in a difficult legal position.

Nope not legal here

robertodonnell14

Only if you use it on your french fries (chips).

Fiskit
I don't think so- mace isn't legal.

But from what I hear it's not that hard to buy- you could always try ebay.

Amski R
Yes

hiya
Its legal everywhere... if you don't get caught.

Which brings up the point I'm trying to make, that the only time you would get caught is if you are using it in self defense. So is it legal to carry a jagged glass bottle around? No. Is it legal to use a jagged glass bottle in self defense? Yes.

Atheism_&rats
They dont have pepper spray in Ireland - they keep muggers at bay with teetotal spray - its just water.
