Is their any good places in Ireland to rent a holiday home for the weekend?

My self and a few friends have always talked about renting out a holiday home for the weekend in the country. Does anybody know how to go about doing this or where the best towns to do this are? I would like somewhere that's kinda a tourist destination but not near a city like Salt Hill in Galway.

union hall west cork in pier holiday homes! you should definitely look it up anyway! I've made friends for life down there.
Great destination and not over crowded with tourist. Your central to towns such as Skibbereen and Clonakilty but in the evening you can go back to Union Hall and relax! Just perfect...
Beautiful coastline with lovely beaches also. Great restaurants and pubs as well and at a very reasonable price.
Couldn't recommend it highly enough!

How about Co. Donegal like Bundoran or Letterkenny. I'm just back from Co. Mayo in a little town called Belmullet. If you have a look on www.discoverireland.ie that has most of the self-catering houses in Ireland

PropertyDirectFromTheOwner.com
Hi, you could try http://www.propertydirectfromtheowner.com - you can rent holiday homes direct from the owners. Not sure how many properties there are in Ireland but its worth a look!

Try Killarney, Dingle, Ballybunion .... there should be lots available at this time of year.
