Is there anyone here who lives in Dublin, or has been to Dublin? |
If so, what's it like? I want to go there for a visit, and maybe even live there when I'm old enough. So, what do you think of it??

Once, it was said of London that even if you didnt like the English, you could still live there cos you didnt have to mix with any of them. Dublin is a little bit like that now. There are Eastern Europeans and Chinese and other ethnic groups who move together. To the Dubliner, tho, there is still an air of 'village' about the place. You'd be hard pressed to go into town and not meet at least one person you know. That's the part of Dublin we love. |

I grew up there, busy place then, much busier now. Good place for a visit, but somewhat expensive place to live. Rental is high, so if you find a nice apartment, expect it to cost plenty. And if you have a car, parking can be a real headache. However, there is so much happening, there is always something to see and do .... but don't wander about alone at night. I live in the countryside now, and like the quieter pace of life, and the wide open spaces around me. I won't return to Dublin, except for a visit. |

i live in the south of Ireland but have been in Dublin plenty of times, its a really nice place. it has some of the best job opportunities in the country, good night life and is good for shopping aswell :)
the downside is that its very expensive to live there for both renting and buying houses, this is why alot of people opt for living on the outskirts of Dublin and commute to the city centre every morning to work. |

ive been, its a pretty nice city, but seemed really small to me compared to other european cities like london and paris.
im sure it would be nice to live if you can handle the weather |

I was born there and used to live there when I was a kid until my parents moved.to the country. I cant waith for the next two years to pass so i'll be 18 and able to move back. Its a nice city no matter what your into but you will have to have a nice bit of cash coming with you if you do come for a visit cos it is really expensive. Basicly I think its great. |
