Dublin is actually quite a bit of fun, and if you're shy about driving in Ireland it's really easy to get around Dublin on foot or with the tourist buses. I don't know if you're into museums or anything like that, but Dublin has some lovely history museums that are worth a visit if you're interested in Irish history. My personal favorite spot in Ireland is Galway city -- it's a small city, but quite pretty and it's a nice base for touring the surrounding area (e.g. going out into Connemara/Conamara, going to the Aran Islands, or even going up to parts of Co. Mayo -- my parents and I have driven to and from the Achill Island area while based in Galway several times). And speaking of Mayo, Westport is a lovely town. Farther north you get the Ceide Fields archaeological site. Co. Donegal and Co. Kerry are both absolutely gorgeous, especially if you go out to Dingle in Kerry. I had to take the bus to Dingle for an interview while I was living in Donegal, and the leg of the trip from Limerick to Dingle blew me away it was so pretty. I'm afraid I can't recommend any pubs or anything like that to you because I'm not much of a pub person myself. However, if you're a history buff or just the kind of person who likes pretty scenery, there's a lot to do in Ireland. |

I could write three books about the subject, and there's not enough space here. But here is a link to everything you want to know about traveling to Ireland.

Well if you get a sunny day (which don't come very often) you should travel around Kerry its really beautiful around Dingle and Killarney there's plenty to do around there or else go to Galway and I would advise you to stay away from Dublin if you want to get a real taste of Ireland!
Hope i helped |

I live in Ireland. It's and AMAZING country and you should definatly visit. There is a lot to do. In Dublin, you can visit the National Museum of Ireland and Trinity College. And I would DEFINANTLY recommend the Dublin Ghost Bus Tour.
My favourite county in Ireland is without a doubt Kerry. It would be a waste of time to come to Ireland and not visit Kerry. If you go there, you should drive through Connors Pass to go to Dingle, where you can get a boat ride to see Fungi, the famous Dindle dolphin. Oceanworld is also an awesome place to visit. And Dingle Peninsula, the most westerly point of Ireland, has some of the most amazing scenery I've ever seen. Killarney is also a great place to see in Kerry. You can get a tour of the town on a horse and cart, and visit Muckross House, which has amazing walks. Beside Muckross House is Muckross Farms. Its the traditional Irish farm from hundreds of years ago. Its a great experience to see it.
Anyways if you do decide to come, I hope you enjoy it. :D:D |
