It is hard to believe its 10 years since Dermot Moran passed away?

If he was still alive today I wonder would they have made any more episodes of Father Ted?
And would Dermot be still in comedy if he was still alive today?

I should be doing something else
You are right, can't believe it's been 10 years :(

As a few other people have said, I read that there weren't due to be any more Father Ted's anyway, but I'm pretty sure they would have done specials.

I still love watching Father Ted shows - my favourite is Kicking Bishop Brennan Up The Ar$e

Absolute class show

I'm sure he would've done other stuff as well, but I do think there would have been one off specials of Father Ted over the years. Anyway it's all guesswork isn't it - what if.....

Knew you meant Dermot Morgan. dont mind the smart asses.

I dont believe they would still do Father Ted as he had indicated it was coming to an end anyway. However, I do believe he would still be in comedy. The only pieces I didn't like were the morning pieces he did for 98fm breakfast show. They were a bit dodgy for that hour of the morning!

Think RTE watched the song contest episode with "my lovely horse running through the fields" before they selected Dustin for the eurovision. Don't get me wrong I love Dustin but I dont think its a good image for Ireland and I think the best song didn't win.

to think irish tv would not show father ted it was channel 4 who aired it for years, thats us irish only give someone credit when there dead and gone....... have to say he was a great comedian

Before he died he said he wasn't going to do anymore Father Ted's.
He would still be in comedy though I reckon.

The last episodes were filmed before he died, father teds best attribute is that it was a short run and did not have time to go stale, short runs like faulty towers make a comedy great

i reckon there would of been a few more episodes and he probably would of done a lot more comedy he was a funny guy

and its dermot morgan

MANGO FACE
I presumed they stopped because he died.. i love in father ted when that writer who becomes a nun at the end of the episode is talking to ted about a book and he doesnt have a clue and just laughs along with his tongue sticking out its so funny!

hello!
