Junior Certerificate!!!??!?
are anyothers out there as worried as i am!?
just after doing my mocks and got like 54-70%
is this good?
GOD, i really dont want the summer to come around!!
im doing all honours and a under alot of pressure :(
esp. in maths and irish! :(
HELPP!!!!
I wouldn't worry too much. The JC in reality is not a hugely important exam. I can guarantee you no-one's going to take you the back and shoot you if you don't do as well as you hoped.
Stress can be useful in exams as a motivator but only if you can strike a good balance. It's important to keep on top of your revision but if you don’t relax a little it will be very hard to do yourself justice (and at the end of the day that’s all you want to, or can do).
If I were you I'd look at the JC as a dry run for the LC.
You'll learn good things about how to manage your time and get good practice in the art of taking state exams (which can be a very different experience from your normal class ones).
Good luck and just think soon it will all be over! :)
Ps.. Just remember exams are not the be all and end all. English was my D-day subject. During my GCSE years I couldn’t pass an exam to save my life and was regularly in the bottom 5 in the class. Nearly 10 years later I’m still around to tell the tale! No exam will ever tell you how intelligent or capable you are.
Sshhhh! It's Podge and Rodge
It's about as significant as a fart in a force ten gale.
gaspipe
the junior cert is not important at all! dont worry about it

Well you passed them in the mocks so i expect ull do even better in the real thing. I didnt do great in my jc mocks even failed some but in the real thing i passed everything was delighted. I think the mocks are a bit harder than the real thing so i think you should be grand.

em the JC is nothing compared to the big bad monster that is the LC
dollymix (now geeky for a month)
I'm doing it and I'm briking it!
That's really good!!!! My lowest was 43% in higher maths lol! My highest was 91% but it doesn't really count because it was CSPE!
Don't feel like your under pressure, that's what people tell me the whole time. The odd time that I do it it actually works, I really ahve to start doing it the whole time now, I find I do better if I don't feel I'm burdened.
Yeah, business for me is shiote. The theory is ok, just accounting!:( I'm basically screwed!!!!
Maths & Irish...Hrmmm. Well what I do for Maths is I get a 'revision copy' and write out formulas etc in it. And when I'm in class I start with the harder questions. If I can do the harder questions then I can do the esaier questions so I don't waste my time so I can move onto something different and be ahead.
With Irish, just write out a load of essays and learn them. Get your teacher to check them out. And know your pros&filiocht. Practice your comprehensions so you know words that come up alot etc.
