Officially your not allowed because junior certs have to sign that form thing back in March
They dont like you doing it, but they cant stop you if you really wanna drop

Also, the day of the exam you can choose to take any level paper once you're in higher level.

yeah of course, just tell your teacher that you want to do the ordinary level exam instead of the higher exam, she/he will ask why and try to tell you you'll be fine doing the higher, but it's your choice. they can't stop you. I did higher English for almost 3 years but 2 weeks before the junior cert exam I told the teacher I needed to switch to ordinary level, I knew I'd fail the higher paper, and I was allowed to.
just know if you switch to ordinary level for the junior, if you plan on doing the leaving cert you'll have to do the ordinary paper. they don't allow you to switch back after the junior. |

If you have already filled out the official form saying your doing higher level they don't like you changing. Tell your teacher and see what he/she says the are the beat person to tell you.
