i'm from england and moved to Dublin 10 years ago. I was in heaven when i first came over i loved the accent. I dont really notice it as much now cause i'm so used to it. As others have said the inner city " wats d story, howya ya" isn't really that sexy lol. I think the sexiest Irish accent is the nothern, I still go weak at the knees over it lol They could be 60, no hair, big beer belly and half their teeth missing and i's still think they were great lol.

I maybe a little bias as I'm from Dublin, but yeah I think as accents go its pretty sexy, as already mentioned by another poster, once its not a skanger accent or the polar opposite D4 accent.
Also, i take exception to the previous poster who decribed it as an 'inner city accent', what, are there no skangers in the suburbs?? I'm from the inner city and certainly do not have a 'howaya' accent.
