Legal drinking age?

I am 25 so the legal drinking age doesnt pertain to me, but alot of the 18 yr olds i work with are just dying to know! lol

In both the Republic and Northern Ireland it's 18, but it isn't always strictly enforced, at least in Dublin, where I've been drinking without any hassle since I was 17!

in Ireland, the legal drinking age is 18. But some bars have policies that only allow over 21's or in some places over 25's.

But legally, and they are strict, about it, well they are in Dublin over 18's

The legal drinking age in Ireland is 18. Most pubs and clubs set their own door policy depending on clientele they wish to attract so you will no doubt encounter places where only over 21s or over 25s will be served. As a rule of thumb door policy tends to be more strictly enforced for guys than girls.
