The Arlington Hotel in Batchelor's Walk O'Connell Street is a great hotel it's cheap too i have stayed there and it was only 25 euro a nite to stay, its in the city so its not far to go to all the tourist sites. hope u enjoy ur stay in Ireland

Dublin is a very expensive city. Personally, I would recommend staying outside the city centre. I think you will have better luck finding reasonably priced accomodation in a place such as Dun Laoghaire or Bray. Both are on the DART and less than an hour away. You could also try a B&B in county Meath.

If you are intent on staying in the city centre, try a hostel. There is An Oise on Mounjoy St. and Avalon House on Aungier St. They're not the Shelbourne, but they offer a clean bed.
