Looking for a convenient b&b in Dublin? |
Hello there, I'm planning a trip to Dublin for next month... I'm looking for an unexpensive b&b in town, or otherwise in a suburban area I can easily get to central Dublin from by bus, or better Luas or DART. I just need a clean, easy-to-reach b&b. Thank you in advance. |

Globetrotters is on the corner of Gardiner Street and Talbot Street. It is very close to Busaras (bus depot) and Connolly (DART and Irish rail). The area is OK, but it is convenient to town and there are a lot of shops, bars, and restaurants on Talbot Street. All you have to do is walk down Talbot Street for 10 minutes and you reach O'Connell Street. O'Connell Street is the main thoroughfare in Dublin City and one of the widest streets in Europe.
Even though this is a hostel, not a B&B, it has a friendly, clean feel to it. They do not allow any long-term guests (maximum stay is 7 nights). Therfore, you will not have any vagrants (a problem for other hostels in Dublin). Globetrotters is a very classy hostel.
There is a marvellous friendly atmosphere here with hostellers and staff and the hostel is open 24 hours a day all year round. It consists of specially designed dormitories which can accommodate 6, 8, 10 or 12 people. All dormitories have en-suite showers and toilets - the showers are FREE!.
Rooms:
The rooms have pine bunk beds which are custom designed for Globetrotters. All beds have a reading light and are really comfortable. The bed linen is professionally laundered daily.
Luggage:
There is a left-luggage facility (FREE) and safety deposit boxes are also available at a small charge.
Breakfast Room:
Free Irish breakfast daily!!!
The Breakfast Room overlooks a wonderful Japanese Garden in which you are also able to enjoy an outdoor picnic should you desire. |

there are literally loads of cheap hotels in Gardiner Street which is quite close to the central bus station. Alternatively, you could try checking with the Tourist Board in Dublin (www.visitdublin.com) - they offer and arrange accomodation to suit every single budget. |

Check B&Bs in the Artane, Raheny, Clontarf areas.
Cheaper than the city centre and much nicer areas.
Close to DART and bus.
You can search on the Town and Country site. Email me if you need any further information on types of areas etc. |

As mentioned Gardiner St. Its right by the bus, DART, LUAS. Right in the city centre.
Theres a nice place called The Townhouse which is a huge B&B and they also have a more budget section which I think is called Backpackers right next door. As for prices sorry I dont know.
Enjoy your trip |
