do you mean to name a small child? or are you just looking for a name?

I like Niamh (is that how you spell it?) as a name, and Siobhan but I have to admit I don't know what they mean, so I don't know if they have any kind of new year theme?

janus
Noeleen it is the Female version of Noel which means Christmas it is a sort of Irish Name as used in Ireland not strictly Irish. I almost forgot Nollaig which means Christmas in Gaelic some Irish Women are called this name. Pronounced Nullig.

'Saoirse' might be nice - as in Saoirse Ronan, the child actress.

'Saoirse' means 'freedom' and is pronounced 'Seersha' (not sure of the phonetic alphabet spelling!)

No idea. Sorry.

Just don't call the child 'Colleen' or 'Erin'. Those are American names, not Irish.
