Looking for new answers?

I still need some ideas on how to be able to live in Ireland for maybe a year or so. School is out of the questions since i am finishing up a Master program now. Any suggestions?

I really need to know how I can financially stay in the country. I am sure I can find a place to stay but I think my holiday visa is only good for 3 months. I was wondering more about how to find a job that will allow me to stay for a year at least.

The best way is to get a job in a hotel they can organise all the required permits etc. very quickly as the majority of hospitality workers are no longer Irish some of the better hotels will even offer accommodation as part of your employment package. You can obtain email addresses and contact info for most Irish hotels by just simply going onto a tourism site like discover Ireland or gulliver.ie and searching by county - now is the time to apply as most places are hiring at this time of year. But be aware if you do this your permit is usually tied to the hotel for the year and if you don't like it you are not covered to work anywhere else. Good Luck

If you want to work in Ireland you will need a work permit. You could try to get a job with a company that has offices in Ireland, and then get a transfer- but you're right you can only stay 3 months on a Tourist Visa and you cannot work legally during this time.

Irish website below might help

there's always plenty of jobs in ireland in and around dublin, ireland in a way is still developing so new shops, hotels, business etc are always opening up, id say ud find a job easy enough, apartments in dub are expensive but outside dub an apartment could be about 100-150 euro a week or cheaper, if u have a degree of some sort u could find a job easy enough, hope dat helps.

House/apartment swop. Or do you mean financially?

Get a job before you come. Get the company to sponsor your application for a work visa (if you need one).
If you are EU there will be no problem.
