Majors in Ireland?

My one goal in life is to move to Ireland. What would be a good thing to major in so I would have jobs availability?

Things can change drastically in a few years so don't set your heart on doing something for the sole reason of getting a job here. There are some jobs like law where knowledge may not translate from one country to another well so check out things like that. Some jobs may also call for a knowledge of Irish though it is possible for non nationals to study and sit exams for those jobs (many Irish people including myself would have to do this also so you wouldn't be at too much of a disadvantage).

Your best bet is to decide what you want to do then see what the requirements are for working here in that field.

Check out job seeking sites in the mean time to get a feel for what's out there now.

We don't do majors in the same way in Ireland.

I agree though, it's better to try and do something you really enjoy.

Major in Accountancy.

There are no guarantees in life. Do something you love, it's the skills you acquire getting a degree that are more important to employers then the subject area.

You should major in the geological and molecular structure of rocks in the Mesolithic era. Sher there's loads of jobs in that area.....................
