I apologise for all the ignorant answers on this site. Funnily enough I would like to celebrate the New Year in Scotland, I
know the Scots are good fun and I hope you enjoy Ireland,
Dublin in particular.

If I were you I would check with this site

http://www.discoverireland.ie/dublin.aspx

they will give you good advice, have a ball.

They don't really do Hogmanay in Ireland, it's a Scottish thing.

Hi, Try Hotel Finders Dublin, I booked an apartment with them and it was lovely, i have also stayed at Wynn's Hotel both the apartment and Wynn's were ideally located right in the heart of the city.

We don't do Hogmany here. On 31st. December most of the sane people arrange or attend house parties. The city pubs are packed with teenage and 20/25 year old's all drunk out of their heads. If that's your thing.... Great, come on over.
Personally I wouldn't set foot in Dublin city on that night.

Stay at the Mespil Hotel.Stones throw from city centre.Head down to Temple Bar for the craic.

Don't tell my boss I'm on here
You do realise that we don't celebrate hogmanay?
