My Tom Tom One says "UK and Ireland". Do they mean Northern Ireland only or will it also work in the Republic?

ems dublin
it means ireland as in the rep.ireland

snetterton
The Republic as well.

Pete
I would say they mean the ROI and NI.

Maybe you can look at the map on a Tom Tom and scroll over to Ireland and zoom in... if they show the roads there its covered. I have never used a TomTom so I have no idea if you can do that or not.

the UK is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, along with the channel islands, isle of man, etc.

"Ireland" probably just means the Republic Of Ireland.

if it says uk and ireland then yes it shud work in the whole country although maybe u shud wait till someone with a tom tom answers they should no better

Trish D
The UK includes Northern Ireland. Ireland is the proper name of the country sometimes called the Republic of Ireland.

Hi,

I have the tomtom Go 910 which is supposed to have the whole of europe. Here in Ireland the coverage is somewhat limited to major roads.

I guess the UK and Ireland Map is a lot more complete ( at least according to tomtom's website) but I will not pay 60€ to find out...

Hello,
This is very likely something you are going to have to find out by trying to use your tom-tom for both the Noerth of Ireland and for the republic. but check with your supplier, I would say it wsould be for the whole of the island, but time will tell you, are you sure you have all the right information plumbed into it, better check, and I hope it works for you the way you need it to work, Good Luck now...Tony M
