My wife and I are going to Ireland, what "USA" products would our B&B keepers like as gifts?

We were thinking of bringing something uniquely Californian or American, like some knick-nack from Hollywood or Hersey Chocolate. I have heard that peanut butter is scarce in Ireland or maybe Almonds. Any ideas?

That is such a lovely idea, yeah I would go for something uniquely american such as hersey chocolate, ranch dressing as you cant buy these in Ireland. Also maybe a bottle of californian wine

I think something Hollywood would be best - if your B&B keepers are into movies.....

Maybe a Star (can you buy those as merchandize? that would be something) or an Oscar for best B&B keepers ;-)

You can get most foods from the US in Europe...just a little more expensive here....something from a small manufacturer, special to your area or just something which is better than the big brands. Hersheys - heck no... I like it every once in a while, but there is so much better chocolate out there...

cleofox32
We have peanut butter and almonds over here. The present that is uniquely american is a great idea, something like hershey chocolates would be greatly appreciated. It's a nice thought to bring them a present, not a lot of people bother to do this.

peanut butter you can get like you guys.hersheys kisses are great and em i love blasted cheddar golfish so if ya fancy popping over to dublin on your way to cork that would be fab!!!!!!! l.o.l hahahha

California wine, See's Candies, and a Dodgers T-shirt.

angelhimm
Chocolate covered Almonds. How about some Californian hand made products, like jams, or something fruity!

I wouldnt bother buying Hershey's for them- ive seen it in shops over here now.plus our chocolate is so much nicer- you will love it.As for peanut butter- just as widely available as in the US as is Californian wine.

Woodpigeon
I'm not sure if Hershey's chocolate is to everyone's taste. Irish chocolate tends to be milkier and smoother. I think a small hand-crafted item might work better - something that is local to your region. Failing that, two bottles of beer from a local US microbrewery might go down a treat.
