Southern Ireland would be perfect. The Ring of Kerry is really amazing, so you definitely ought to go there, but also ride through County Cork (Castle Blarney and all), County Tipperary (the rock of cashel is great and the rolling hills of green are breathtaking), County Waterford (Waterford Crystal Factory might be a good stop), and maybe up to County Limerick and County Clare (both are very scenic). Be sure to ride up into the Knockmealdown Mountains that cover parts of County Waterford and County Tipperary. They are really something. All in all, everywhere in Ireland is a great place to travel. There are also plenty of B&B's in Ireland, so where ever you are you'll be sure to find a B&B. The roads all over the Republic are perfect for biking, especially as they are curvy and narrow. |

Try the west coast for scenery and Dingle bay for music festival.....not sure when festival is on.......have heard that it's good music all year round though. killarney...for the Blaney stone.......Kerry is said to be the most beautifull of all Ireland's counties. Donegal is a must see place to go!
The Giant's Causway in NW is amazing.
Have a brilliant trip..........start or end in Dublin of course!

The ring of Kerry...awesome place..the Irish are so lucky.
B&bs are in smart, posh houses..if I lived there I would n't let any Tom ,Dick or Harry stay in my house..but the Irish welcome everyone. They are the most welcoming people I have come across.I stayed in B&Bs in Clonmel, Neenagh and Dun Laoghaire
and they were all tip top. |

Definitely the West coast; Westport in Mayo and around there, Achille Island/s, and then along the Galway coast to Connemara, it's beautiful, then head down to Cork, which is in the Gulf Stream, the Irish Riviera, lol!
Dingle is good, and they have a famous dolphin that swims off the coast there, Fergie or Fergus he is known as.
Wherever you go, enjoy the craic!! |

Stay in the North. The roads are terrible in the south unless your on a european subsidised motorway and they charge a toll to use them - the cheek of it!! The roads in the north are good and not too busy if your not in the Greater Belfast area. Depending on the time of the year, the bikers in the north have their version of the Tombstone Rally at BootHill - usually around the last weekend of August I think. I think it is a very small version of Glastonbury - music as well!! Check it out on internet. |
