New visa regulations from ireland to US? |
Hi. I recently heard on the radio about some changes for Irish people visiting the US on holiday. Something about registering 72 hours beforehand? Anybody know what this is or how to do it? Additional Details I already looked at the Irish Embassy website and it didn't say anything new. I did hear something on the radio though and I was just curious. |

Yes, this is true, you must notify american imigration at least a min of 72 hours before flying. Previously, when flying to The States you could give all the relevant info when checking in, now you must do this online with the relevant airline you are bookin with (you dont have to do this when you are booking, but read the small print it does state that you must provide the info before departing and they give you a link), If you're booking through an agent they will advise you, and supply you with the relevant paper work.
Also, even flying to Spain now you have to supply travel info before flying (where you're staying etc..), not as stringent as The U.S though, but hey, better be safe than sorry. |

Yep this is right you will have to register 72 hours before you fly to the US. But its not coming into effect until next year I think. Its a bit off anyways. |

hi you
i think there maybe some confusion and i know it is the done thing in the states that you ring the airline 48 to 72 hours before hand to confirm your seat on the flight this is a new thing that will be happening here in Ireland soon that was never done before |
