Mikee

No weather report in Ireland?

How come when I watch the UK weather report on TV they only tell us the weather in Northern Ireland and not everywhere else (ROI,/Eire)?

They still haven't forgiven us for rejecting them.
Besides, 90% of the time "wet, cold, and windy" will be accurate and sufficient. Maybe our weather is just too boring and predictable.

In the republic of Ireland we have our own radio and TV stations that gives you the weather for the republic of Ireland.

Here is the website link.

It’s because Northern Ireland is apart of the UK and The Republic of Ireland is not.
They do mention Ireland on the World Weather slots.
Likewise in Ireland, Britain’s weather is not mentioned on the normal weather slots but is on the longer World Weather slots. It doesn’t really matter anyway, as its always pissing down in Ireland and Britain.

slim trim
we have our own weather with out worrying about the British weather

last time i checked ireland wasn't in britain. You have your own TV channels to tell you your own weather

Reading other answers to this question has shown me how odd this is - channels based in the Republic of Ireland give the weather forecast for the all the regions, including the north! Interesting ....

Theres no point in having a weather forecast in Ireland.

"Today it will be raining heavily with a chance of a break in the weather later on in the day when it will drizzle"

"Tomorrow will be raining with out bursts of thunderstorms"

"The forecast for the weekend is for rain, hail, showers of fish, sleet drizzle and mist"

"On monday Irish summer time begins and the rain will be slightly warmer"

They dont have any weather in Ireland,it was cancelled years ago due to lack of interest

Rossie

Nothern Ireland is still part of britain though.

Hello Mikee,
Everyone already knows what the weather is going to be like here in Ireland, it's just that the folk in the North of Ireland need top be reminded that if they go out doors, there's a good chance they are going to be soaked. Nowthen, here's a tip for you, when you asked this question, you were on Yahoo, so go make Yahoo your home page, and have a good look at the centre right of the homepage of yahoo's and find a part of it the has the word Weather written in it, click on that, and it will ask you to insert where you live, ie. city or postcode.. put that informatiuon in where they ask you to write it, and click on the send bar and as if by magic they will give you all the information you need, probably be able to tell you if your area is already wet, or whether you should get out the sun-blocker, and you can change the temperature readings from Centigrade to Fahrenhiet too.
I hope this helps you Mikee... bye Tony M
