My son and daughter both went. It has been raining for nineteen days now in Ireland. Last night, their tent blew away and they had to stay up in the rain sitting on deckchairs. My daughter came home tonight , disgusted. My son is doing security so he' s staying in the security headquarters: 3 meals a day and I don't know what else. I await the distress call that I hope is not coming.
When people book for these things in January they 4get about the vagaries of the Irish weather. My daughter was traumatised by the experience. She said it is a muck heap from start to finish. A swamp. U would have to be on something to stick it. She's not, so she couldn't. Her brother is in a different category. His needs will be met by the company he works for. I have had no phone call from him so I presume all is ok.
Outdoor festivals are a great idea but not in a climate like Ireland. Maybe for one day, but not for a whole weekend. We just don't have the weather.
