OhWell (Kiss my cute furry feet)

People from Ireland, or who have been to Ireland I need to know?

Are their lilacs in Ireland? What are the most prominent flowers in Ireland? What kind of trees grow there, are they the same as the US? Or are they different trees.

The Plants are Basically the same as US save for those that grow in the Semi Desert and Desert Areas they do not grow in Ireland except under Glass, and if it is a very Big Plant you would have to go to the Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin Dublin where they have a Huge Glass Dome to House it. We Have Lilac in Peoples Gardens, Brooms, Forsythia, Magnolia, Tracy Carpus Fortuni The Palm Tree these can grow around the Coast. I have Tracy Carpus Fortuni in my Garden and Mahonia Oregon Grape with the Blue Berries and Yellow Flowers and Spiky Leaves like Hollys. We even have the Sequoia Giant Wellingtonia in certain Areas that have the Space like the Old Jurys Hotel in Ballsbridge. We have Oaks ,Birch,Ash, Poplar,Conifers,Alders,Willows, Etc.We have all the Roses,Tulips,Gladioli and other Flowers as in US. What we do not have is the Blaze of Colour of Autumn Trees that America Has, they do not seem to achieve the same Consistency of Colour as in the Us. Our Trees go Brown ,but it is not as good a Display as America.

the most prominent would be nettles dandylions clover daisys. thats town plants growing wild. in the countryside gorse, fushia and some fern and cotton. but little known fact some species of wild orchid grow right under our feet in ireland. species that would fetch a handsome price overseas. they are more protected than some animals.

You NEED to know the type of flora that exists in Ireland? This is the most random questions I've seen on yahoo answers that doesn't descend into gibberish, congratulations! (I really mean it). Just do a google image search for Ireland landscapes.
