How long would it take to travel from Grafton Street to the French Embassy on Ailesbury Road by taxi? I know traffic can be heavy in Dublin. Also, roughly how much would it cost??

It will take 7 to 12 minutes, depending on the time of day. It's very near and walkable in about 20 minutes.
I wouldn't expect to pay more than €10 for the taxi journey, even with the meter running in traffic jams.
Go to St. Stephens Green to start the journey, it will be more direct.
