crime rate isn't that big a problem although it is getting worse! if you compare ireland to america there is a big difference in crime rate! i know there a big difference in population but stil the crime rate is much lower!! poverty isn't a problem because in ireland we have had an econmic boom!! this has taken place over the last 20 years but is now beginning to decrease!! until then ireland was very much a place of poverty as my grandparents would tell me!! teens now have alot more money and freedom from there parents!! the money increase is allowing them to get drugs and drink!!

Why is poverty such a small problem? Because it's a wealthy country like a lot of the northern Hemisphere and Australia. The Economy is doing ok therefore there's more jobs available so the standard of living is higher.

I haven't heard anything about Irish teenagers commiting any "heinous crimes" with the execption of the gang that murdered the two Polish guys recently. That really is a very rare occurence. You almost never hear about that kind of thing.
