F**k off, ye gobsh**e

froggequene
Grand, grand so, that's grand, etc
it's the most stereotypical phrase I can think of at the moment

If you ever have any doubt that someone's Irish that phrase is the give way & if you ever listen to someone who's learned to speak English in Ireland that's one of the phrases they pick up & speak in an Irish accent

The other stereotypical phrases all involve swearing - gobsh*te is just the greatest word ever invented

Martina L
'tis grand

Old-style is well covered.

Unfortunately the modern Irish catchphrases all result in account deletion round here.

Mr. Fox
Ah its yourself is it?

Yes its myself it is

Is máith liom cáca millís!
Well around Galway 'Grand' and 'Mighty' are pretty stereotypical!!

But 'Top of the mornin comes to mind' even though we don't say that it still comes to mind!!

Or what's her face from Father Ted and the tea!! (Mrs Dooley!!)
