It depends on who would be McGuinness' deputy.

Mind you, we none of us ever thought we'd see the day the Unionist and Republicans would agree to work together, it's great isn't it.

I don't think anyone who was involved with the IRA killings should be in power. How is it different that they are allowed to take over a government after so many murdering episodes and yet we here in England went and caught Saddam Hussein so he could be brought to trial for his murdering ways? Yet because it is so close to our own doorstep we are expected to allow and even applaude the election of these murderers into possitions of power?

that could be a mistake. i mean, now that both sides finally agreed to work together and to compromise (they've all been pretty stubborn so far!), the best way to go would be to respect the sharing of power and keep both sides on an equal footing, wouldn't it?

ps: i studied irish history for years and i was in ireland when the ira decommissioned. i remember i couldn't believe it when i saw the news, it was like history was unfolding before my eyes!

Everyone has their reservations about this issue, but judge not and be not judged the people of Northern just want peace now after many years of conflict. It was the people who voted the ministers in. You know when people make a mistake they cannot change it in this lifetime. They will always be remembered for the bad they done rather than the good. Lets just hope that its works out and there will be everlasting peace. Someday we all have to meet our maker and let him be the judge of our actions on earth.

Paisley and Thatcher have side by side plots. The sooner they are both buried, the better. And may they continue to feed from each other for the rest of their deterioration, bone by bone. As they should.
