In Dublin, The best night life is definitely in Temple Bar. It’s big, It’s modern and It’s expensive while it has loads of history and culture to it too.

Temple bar is the best area as you are near all the best night spots. The Porterhouse temple bar is a good place to go to at night. During the day get a Dublin pass as it is cheaper to get around |

if you really want to treat yourself(go on! you know you want to!) what is considered the most luxurious hotel in dublin, which is actually very close to Temple Bar(with all the nightlife) is the Gresham hotel on O'connels Street. I would reccomend it! |

the morgan hotel is situated in temple bar , its a very boutique style of hotel very contemporary, amazing cocktails, doesnt come cheap but its ideally situated at the top of temple bar ,not too much noise at that end if you fancy a quiet night which is unheard of in dublin by the way, enjoy your stay in one of the best cities in the world!!! |

I think it's all been well said here by others.
But you might benefit from this hotel search engine for Dublin and Temple Bar. It's especially good for last minute bargains - but also does everything :

Temple bar area has the best nightlife, but I wouldn't stay there because it's really noisy at night. I would recommend the Jury's hotel in the Christchurch are as it close to Vicar street and Temple Bar. |
