How many of you around the world know what a claddagh ring is, or actually have one, and also can you please say what country you're from....

I'm American and I know what a Claddagh ring is because my english teacher 2 years ago was from Ireland and he taught us about it, and also a good friend of mine has one and she told me about it.

I used to have one from a friend who had visited Galway where his family was from. I've visited Ireland 2 times including a month in Galway (1997, 2000). I live in North Carolina, USA but am from Texas.

I'm American,and I have a claddagh ring. It was my engagement ring, so yes, I know the symbolism. We also used the symbol on our wedding invitations.

I was given one by my husband. He got it from my mother'saunt Sister Dorothea, who is back home in Ireland taking care of an aging relative. Yes we know what they mean my grandparents were from around Limerick.
