The Sunday World, The Sunday Tribune or The Sunday Independent? |
Which of the 3 papers do you mostly buy on a Sunday to read and why? |

I refuse to buy the Sunday Independent since they reported that Eamon Lawlor was killed in a car crash in Moscow in the company of a prostitute. It was totally opportunistic journalism of the very lowest kind and tarnished the reputation of all Irish Journalists. The " Exclusive " obviously turned out to be untrue and I was delighted when they got sued by the respectable female Russian interpreter.
The Sunday World is a complete rag with a price tag of €2.20, and only fit to be read by the scumbags for which it is written. It is considered a Badge of Honour by them if they get mentioned in an article. If you get your picture in it, you are then considered a Big Hard Man.
I never bought the Tribune.
What do I read on a Sunday ? nothing.
I wait 'till Monday and buy the daily Mail for €1, and start my day doing the crossword puzzle. |

The Sunday Tribune
I'm not allowed to bring the Sunday World into the house & the Sunday Independent is nothing more then a tabloid masquerading as a broadsheet, their sister paper, the daily wrote something derogatory about someone I knew so I've never read it since on principle |

Tribune. When I buy a Sunday paper, that is. |

Sshhhh! It's Podge and Rodge

We don't read any of those Dublin based papers!
And we won't be told by some jumped up little journo how we should think! |

The Tribune.
It's worth it just for Suzanne Breen's articles alone
I also like Una Mullally in the magazine. Shane Coleman's brilliant too.
I don't like the Indo the only time I've ever bought it was on an aerlingus flight because it was all they had.
It's hard to beat Saturdays Irish Times. Frank McNally and Miriam Lord are 2 funniest writers in Ireland today, Steven Collins is consistently on the ball and entertaining and I love reading about Roisin Ingle’s babies to be and any satire Newton Emerson writes is always top class
The only writer in the Irish times I wouldn't be mad about is Noel Whelan |

I like the Tribune for Patrick Freyne's TV review and Una Mullally's column, but that's about it. I wouldn't touch the other two newspapers. |
