Hi,
Bhuel, nà bheidh tú in ann cuairt a thabhairt ar an nGaeltacht go dtà na laethanta saoire! Go dtà sin, déan Ãarracht an teanga a labhairt chomh minice agus is féidir leat - le do chairde, do chlann, do mhúinteoir.
Chomh maith leis sin, bà ag scrÃobh as Gaeilge go réadúil - coimeád dialann duit féin, b'fhéidir.
Foghlaim seanfhocail agus nathanna cainte - cuirfidh siad "blas nádúrtha" ar do chuid Gaeilge.
Bà ag úsáid na teanga go réadúil! Tá an léitheoireacht agus éisteacht go breá, ach caithfidh tú à a chleactadh duit féin.
Go n-éirà leat! |

*eyeroll* @ that first answer.
You could do a course in the Gaeltacht. You might think you're a bit old, but most colleges take people up to age 18/19. I'm going to be 19 in August and I'm considering going while I still can - I used to be fluent but I've kind of lost my mojo over the last few years. There's classes and stuff advertised on the gael linn site, but they're geared more towards adults.
I found this list of organisations that run classes and Grúpaà Comhrá if that's any good to you: http://www.gaeilge.ie/learning/default.asp?lang=ga&catID=77&artId=352 |

the best way to become fluent in a language is to be around people who speak it!
go to the gaeltach for the summer and you don't have to go to the specail courses that are run!
just stay with a family who aree fluent irish speaks and use irish as there first language! but each gaeltach has its own irish in a way they pronounce words differently so go somewhere that is similar to your irish that you have already learned! |

Come to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada! More people speak Gaelic and Irish Gaelic here than anywheres else in the world! Also there is a course at university called Gaelic Studies. |

A friend of mine was been with a Irish family for 2 month and came back speaking fluent. Also made some school lessons at the same time.
Many family's in Irland get students living in for some time and some of them have quite big family's wich is good for learning. Some with 6, 7 or 8 children. Especially catholic ones.
You get contacts at universities and some sites at the net.
ERASMUS plan as some addresses in Dublin for students. |

I suppose if you have the time and the budget, you could go to Ireland. Hang out there for awhile and chat to the people. This is an excellent way to learn a new language. If you cant go to Ireland, just hire a tutor of sorts. |
