Happilly, they have seperate identities that will satisfy the two camps of choice equally.
I have never lived in Eire, but would be attracted to do so if the circumstances arose.
The Uk is finished for me, having seen retrograde "progress" in the country and prolific influx of foriegn workers that undermined my opportunity for work and myexpectations of a living wage in accordance with my skills.
My editorial comment would be....anywhere but the UK right now, I believe we've been sold out and the country's ruined...for us at least...so let the new brits have the mess and get on with it. |

You haven't posed a question.
UK or Republic of Ireland what?
Responsible for Dana/Bono/Daniel O'Donnell?
Football teams?
Language?
Size?
Best to run naked in at four in the morning?
Likely to invade another country?
What are you asking? |

well the north of Ireland is by law part of the UK. Although there is little or no difference between it and the republic regarding to the people. (Forgetting about the different laws and currency of course). The north is the same for me as the south in my opinion and the people in any area here are nice, cheery people.
On the other hand, I find that the english are quite arrogant. (From what I have encountered).
So my answer is Ireland (including Northern Ireland) because people here from the north and the republic generally see it to be the same. (Of course for those who call themselves British from northern ireland are going to disagree, but I'm speaking on behalf of the Catholics in both the north and the republic.) |
