But can anybody tell me if I need to get the medical insurance to apply for the Irish visit visa???

I know if it's for irish student visa then people must have that, but I just wanna go there for a holiday.

I've checked so many websites still haven't got any clue!

I'm not from EU, an Asain from Taiwan. The Irish Embassy's phone has got some problems. I just couldn't dial in recently. Neither to the one in London or Dublin, how strange!

No, as a tourist there is no requirement that you must have medical insurance. Medical insurance as a tourist for any country is optional.

No. However, if you need medical treatment, you will then have to pay for it. It's best to get travel insurance that will provide adequate medical coverage.

See if you can get an E111 form to cover you, it might not work in your case, but it never hurts to ask.

If you're an EU national, you don't need a visa to visit Ireland.

I think that the best thing to do is contact an Irish Embassy or Consulate in the UK and find out directly from them.

seabhcan
You don't need it but its very useful anyway. look on insureandgo.com Single trip insurance is about £6 - well worth it as Ireland hospitals will charge cash for treatment, unlike the UK's NHS.

hallo,
Standard documents required for any entry into Ireland include:

Possession of a valid passport
Possession of a round trip ticket
Evidence of sufficient funds of support for the duration of stay (e.g. statement of earnings, bank statement, traveler's checks etc.)
as you can see you are not required to have medical insurance although it's possible.

If you are from a state of the european union then you don't need anything. Depends where you are from
