For great sight seeing please go to Killarney, its a wonderful place to go. The Ring of Kerry is just something that everyone should see when visiting Ireland. if you have a chance go to Co. Clare also, the "Cliffs of Mohar" are spectacular. Kilkenny is a good town for shopping if you are looking for that. Cork is lovely also. Galway City is one of my favourite cities in Ireland for night life and for Tourist attractions. So that city might suit you best. Dublin is ok, I,m not a big fan. use to spend to much time there. But night life is good there and you have alot of options. Belfast I,m not to sure since it has been years since I have been there, but from what I remember, the sight seeing was lovely also. Enjoy your Trip!
Google (Cliffs of Mohar Ireland) Look for pictures and images |

You could start by getting information from your nearest Irish Tourist office which is Bord Failte. There is so much to see, it is a pity you will have only 8 days. Will you be travelling by car? You would be better to try and cover as close an area as you can, Belfast is in the north, and Dublin on the east coast. You could start in Dublin, spend about 2 days there, see as much as you can, there is plenty to do and see. travel on the open top touring buses, you can hop on and off at all the main tourist spots that they take you to. At night there will be plenty to do and see, also plenty of places to dine out, and plenty of choice and prices. Before leaving Dublin travel out towards Malahide, which is on the coast and also there is a famous castle, which is well worth visiting. Heading out to Malahide on the R107 you will see a Famous Church Called St Doulagh's. It and the area around it datesback to the 6th Cent. The Church is the oldest stone roofed church in Ireland still in continuous use as a place of worship. It has been visited by people from all over the world, and has been written about, painted, photographed, researched, and there is still much that has yet to be discovered about it. Check it out on the internet, and you will find a phone number. Phone that and you will be able to arrange a tour of this fascinating Church.
Leaving Dublin, you could travel south to cork, and then on to Blarney, with its famous Castle and of course the Blarney Stone. You could then travel to Killarney, which has to be seen to be believed. if arriving and departing from Dublin, you will need to be heading to Kilkenny, where you will find a lot to see and do, in particular visit St Canices Cathedral and round tower. You probably will not get to Belfast or Galway, but of course that will give you an excuse to return again, Have a great holiday, enjoy the craic, and we will give you a Cead Mile Failte. (100 thousand welcomes) |

I enjoyed Cork and it was easy to get to Kilarney, as well as Blarney from there. |

Belfast is pretty good, it has a new "Belfast wheel" kinda like the London eye, only smaller. Belfast also has a new shopping mall opening at Easter. This will be the biggest in Belfast. Belfast also has plenty of great restaurants, cinemas, shops, and a new ikea for furniture! Belfast also has train links to dublin, making it easy to travel between the two cities. The odessy arena has a great choice of club, cinemas and resturants for you to enjoy. Check out it's website to book tickets for shows, or Belfast's website for more details. |

If you like the music of Moya Brennan, Clannad or Enya, then Donegal's Tabhairne Leo is just for you to visit! |

Ring of Kerry, Killarney, Dingle, West Cork, Galway and Clare are the best for sightseeing, driving etc. Dublin, Cork or Galway for shopping. Best of luck! |

The Ring of Kerry is absolutely amazing. We found Londonderry to be fascinating, never thought we'd see it- or Belfast in my lifetime !. I am very grateful we did. May peace and prosperity reign over Ireland forever. Have a fun trip. Lovely people-- so much to see and do. |
