Visiting Dublin Ireland next month, and was wondering what type of prepaid cell phones are available?

I presently use a Trac Phone which cost $20 US funds and got 120 minutes for $30. Will I find these same deals in Dublin?

there are at least 4 main providers of prepaid cell, we call them mobile phones in Ireland.
http://www.vodafone.ie
http://www.o2.ie
http://www.meteor.ie
http://www.three.ie

The deals most do is free calls to other phones in same network, if you top up by €20.
If you intend phoning the US, i would check out their international rates, although mostly they are very expensive.

Most people I know either have vodafone or meteor, so I guess, they are the most popular

Maybe you can find a better one before you leave, try RebelFone's service: http://www.rebelfone.com/Ireland_simcards.asp

Irish cutie!!
go to www.02.ie OR www.vodafone.ie to find out about phone deals you can gat phones for as cheap as 40euro in ireland at the moment

I'm not sure.
But if your purchase is because you have a regular cell phone service, you can unlock it to work EVERYWHERE in the world, without extra money. Check out the company "warlox wireless" in Boston Mass.

Well we have o2, vodafone, 3G, Orange and Skype. I don't think you'll find the same deal in Dublin or Ireland for that matter.
You could buy a cheap mobile on ebay and then buy a sim card from one of the companies I mentioned when you get here. But you'd still have to top it up with credit while your here.

I would recommend vodaphone or verizon prepaid. http://www.myphonedied.com
