I like the Southern accent most. Well, I guess I always was one for leprechauns...
Joking =)

I'm from Belfast, it hasn't got the nicest accent at all but there are some nice Northern accents, can't think right now but there are many! I understand where some users are coming from about the Belfast accent, the broad Belfast accent is seriously disgusting and it's spoken by so many. I don't think my accent is THAT bad but I think this question has got me a little paranoid now, haha!

I'm a Yank(outside Boston)-my Da's from Tyrone and my Ma's from Tipp-it gets pretty interesting when there's a dustup....even more fun when my Da's brothers are over- after a few, nobody can understand 'em.........

The Northern accent is nice except for the Belfast accent which is too harsh and rough.
The Southern accent is nice except for Shannon as it sounds really dopey and backward.

there isnt just a north vs south contest.... as which southern accent are you referring to....

there is a massive difference between cork and galway and dublin

Donegal is in the N.W. of Ireland and sounds totally different to the broad Belfast accent.Even down in the south of Ireland the accents differ so it's hard to choose.Anyway Donegal's is the best,wins hands down. :)

Every single county has a different accent! what counties are you talking about? I live in Waterford and the accents from here to Cork/Kilkenny/Wexford are all totally different

what part of the north? what part of the south? Ballymena accent is diff from Belfast. Derry accent different again. Cork is diff from Dublin etc etc. I can tell you that the Belfast accent makes me want to puke.

The north is part of the Uk Smartness. To say on another question its not, means smartness is not a good name for you. Its a fact. Hence the border. Only you think otherwise. Its not an opinion Smartness. Its an accepted fact. Check meaning of Uk.
