Want to hire a car in ireland but don't have a credit card any suggestions?

All normal car rental companies will require a credit card, there is just no way around that sorry. There might be a small company that will let you rent without one, but I doubt it. The only thing you can do is check the on-line yellow pages and call every rental car company that you don't recognize the name (you would be just wasting your time with all the major companies). However like I said, I doubt you will have any luck especially if you don't live locally. If you are not a citizen of Ireland, forget it at all.

You need a credit card, that is just the way it works.

If you were"lucky" enough to find one , with the cash deposit they would require, you could actually buy yourself a cheap little car with it.

Apply for a credit card?

jess i
I know an italian girl who had no credit card. They had to leave a whopping and i mean a huge deposit for the weekend in cash. They just visited a rental place in Dublin.

Lori
No way around it I'm afraid unless you can get your hands on thousands in cash.
