Wanting to go to ireland?

i want to go to ireland a vacation for 2 and i would really love to stay in a castle but i dont want to spend a fortune... im wanting to go sometime at the end of next year and i want to be in the heart of ireland because my husband wants to be around the pubs of course so he will get what he wants and i will get what i want can someone please help me out

There's a nice castle up in Sligo called Markree that's lovely, and it won't cost a fortune like Ashford would. The website is here: http://www.markreecastle.ie/

If you want to stay in a castle, you have to be prepared to pay for it. Sorry.

ash ford castle is beautiful in mayo but is very expensive but maybe stay one night. but their are many places to stay down the west coast of ireland which is very beautiful from mayo to kerry

go to an international travel company and have them put together a package that will not only get you the stay in a castle, it will also set up a list of b & b s that you can call each evening to stay in. most of them are near pubs.

Castles are by nature expensive places to stay. Why not stay at a B&B and just sightsee at the castles? Pubs are not hard to find, so that isn't much of an impediment to staying in most areas.

I don't understand the appeal myself - castles seem stuffy and overrated.
