bar, restaurants n club work. always on the look out for staff. some shops were advertising lately (was in galway last week). thinking alot of the restaurants on the side streets off shop st. perhaps check in the college, in the SU and canteen etc. alot of their staff would prob go home at weekends so they may need special weekend staff. the hospital as well come to think of it. in the shop n canteen area. erm....... newsagents and the usual small shops. just drop cvs everywhere and somethings bound to pop up. i know pennies n dunnes n tescos are almost always looking for staff but dont know if you could just get weekend work in those places.

Drop your Cv into local shops, bars and hotels as this is usually the best way to get work, also check out the notice board at your students union when you go back, you could also try the following sites

http://www.fas.ie/en/Job+Seeker/Home/default.htm

You dont have to sign up if you dont want to and they give details of all sorts of jobs around the country, including part time work.

http://www.gumtree.ie/
Here you can search for jobs and also place an ad of your own in the 'work wanted' section

bar, disco, restaurant, take-away, cinema, bowling alley, anywhere that is busier at the weekend.

Why not advertise as a male masseur. Would only cost the price of a notice in a newsagents window.

try the dairy farms... I would like to work with the locals so I could get to know them truely...they would help your visit be the best and youd' reallly earn a bit of money and help them out as well... as an American going for a bit...you know for me there was a job that I think I would have liked just to do it...there is a barge that goes all through out Ireland delivering Guiness...it was different, quiet and I would see much of the country...

deburca98
Re above.
Barges havent delivered guinness since the 1950`s.

Guinness is delivered to the aran islands by ferry.
