What's happened with the budget?

Right, I'm of the country and I don't know what's going on. I know diesel, cigarettes and alcohol are gone up but that's about it. So what's going on?

Try reading this it might help you understand. Alcohol has not gone up, diesel and cigarettes have, so has "income levy" REPS has been cut for the farmers http://www.finfacts.ie/Irishbudget2009Ireland.htm

alcohol hasnt gone up.

basically income tax has doubled....thats all i can remember

people say that our ignorent govt. hasnt tackled the problem and will probably sent us into an even deeper recession! thats just fab........

It was just like the good old days.
They've taken more people out of the tax net, reduced tax rates and given people on social welfare 20 euro extra per week.
