hi you
by law you have to be 18 years old to drink in Ireland but there are places that still wont serve you till your 21 or 25 and it is handy to have some form of photo id other then a passport in case your passport get lose or stolen

18 is the legal age but some places require you to be 21. There is no age limit in private places but there is a growing problem of underage drinking in ireland. Some people start drinking as young as 12

The vast majority of pubs etc it is 18 however in some nightclubs and bars it is 21 and over.
