Try "Jamesons" and you'll never drink another. I used to drink Bushmills but changed to Jameson with just a little cold water.
However, at this time of year if you prefer a hot whiskey, then there's nothing to beat a "John Powers" . Heat the glass first, then with or without a little sugar to taste, and add a slice of lemon with cloves, and finally add the Powers.
Ahhh, I think I'll go and make one now. I've put myself in the notion. |

depends on what part of the country you are in, In Dublin it's Jameson, followed by Paddy and Powers.
Bushmills is an Ulster whiskey, but there are still some people who won't drink it, as it is seen as a unionist brand. |

Podge and Rodge Tribute Band

Rodge and myself like to think of ourselves as whiskey connoisseurs though others might call us p!ss artists.
The 3 most popular brands would be Paddy, Jameson and Powers.
Paddy is nice but it's for your more seasoned whiskey drinker, it's more of an acquired taste. Jameson is probably the most popular and it's fine but you can't beat the drop of Powers. It's the best of a good bunch.
We wouldn't kick Bushmills out of bed either. |

Jameson, Paddy, Black and White, Bushmills, Think Jameson is the most popular one though |

Okay statistically, Jameson's is the biggest selling Irish whiskey outside Ireland and John Powers Irish Blend - The most popular brand in Ireland. Paddys is also quite popular.
