Its called irish traditional music.

Ok I know all countries have their own 'traditional' music, but i'm from Ireland and thats what we call the stereotypical, tin whistle, fiddle, bodhran, banjo type music that they sit around and play in pubs. I assume thats the type you're referring to?

Its not called Celtic music, Celtic refers to Ireland, Scotland, Wales and parts of England. So there is no one type of Celtic music unless u count Girls Aloud.
